The Calm Before the Storm

There is always some preparation work that needs to be done before September hits.

We need to soak barrels and fermenter bins to make sure they aren’t leaking, run equipment to make sure that it still works properly, clean and organize cluttered area, tune up cars, order yeasts and visit vineyards to check on Mother Nature.

If scheduled in properly, this preparation work is fun and it gets you pumped up on the impending season.  If left to too late, catching up is a dirty, hard job.
