Welcome Public House 124

Walla Walla is a desert mecca- an oasis, of top notch cuisine.  With only 35,000 residents, WW has still managed to pull in James Beard winners, award winning wine lists and has drawn chefs from the big cities looking for their own dream.

The heart-warming thing about our new bar, is that these guys did most of their teeth cutting right here in town and have made so much of our little village love, not only their food, but also them, over the years.

Opening night for Public House 124 was comparable to the opening of a WalMart in a Texas suburb.  There was literally a line around the block… and for good cause.

For years, Matthew Price Huntington has been the face of drinks at the Marcus Whitman Hotel’s cocktail bar and Chris Teal has been the task master sous chef at the Whithouse Crawford Restaurant.  These guys finally got out on their own and Public House 124 is no disappointment to such high expectations.

The heirloom tomato salad is phenomenal and who doesn’t love truffle oil on fries.  Matt’s drinks deliver as they always have, only this time, with an extra glimmer behind that smile.

Congrats guys, we are so proud and honored.

  1. Finally was able to eat (and drink) at Public House 124 this weekend and we loved it! The cocktails (Matt’s cucumber cardamom black pepper marg and the Hemingway) are to die for and the food was fun and delicious! We really loved the hoisin crepe. Can’t wait to go back!
