In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.” -Margaret Atwood, Bluebeard’s Egg

Welcome to TERO Estates and Flying Trout Wines new blog, where we hope you’ll live vicariously through our musings about our life in wine.

The buds and leaves have emerged from their winter dormancy, and brown has turned to pink and iridescent green, providing a new vineyard panorama every day. There is rarely a dull moment at Windrow Vineyard, and bud break was especially poignant this year after April freeze scares. Doug spent a few sleepless nights in the vineyard keeping the fan going, and we are happy to report very little freeze damage. Windrow Vineyard has never let us down. Perhaps Doug can sleep in May.
